In light of a recent security breach in the Lok Sabha, stricter guidelines have been implemented. MPs now need to provide a declaration stating that they personally know and take responsibility for their guests. The handbook for Lok Sabha members states that MPs must fill out an application form for visitors, providing details such as name, age, nationality, and occupation. Failure to provide complete details may result in the visitor card not being issued.

According to the handbook for Lok Sabha members uploaded on the Lower Houses website, in the application form submitted by MPs for visitors, they need to provide details such as visitors name in full, age, fathers or husbands name, nationality and passport number (for foreigners only) and details of occupation, among other things.
