BELLEFONTE — Since 1988, the Centre County Historical Society has annually recognized individuals and organizations for their outstanding work in preserving and interpreting Centre County history.

"I just learned so much about Centre County history. I thought I knew a good deal, but I learned how much I don't know."

After 18 months of work, the Centre County Historical Society released its online Centre County Encyclopedia of History and Culture on Oct. 3 in hopes of educating the local community.
