The company is taking the corrective measures with assistance of cyber experts and authorities on the issue, SpiceJet informed the stock exchanges.

SpiceJet airline said its systems faced an "attempted ransomware attack" late on the night of May 24, delaying flights.

SpiceJet airlines passengers were stranded at various airports due to a ransomware attack that impacted the morning flight departures on May 25, reports ANI. 

An alleged ransomware attack on SpiceJet's systems hit its flight services resulting in long queues at airports and prolonged delays on flights. This angered passengers who took to Twitter to vent their anger.

SpiceJet said that the situation has been rectified and flights are operating normally now.  

On Tuesday night, SpiceJet systems faced an attempted ransomware attack, leading to flight delays on Wednesday morning.
