When Andy Williamson received 1,100 votes on Aug. 8, he was told he secured the winning majority in the three-man Republican primary for District 3 supervisor.

In Lowndes County the sheriff’s race continues to be the one to watch when it comes to money being spent, with comparatively small amounts raised in other races.

Tony Hannah has perhaps the most ambitious goal should he be elected as Lowndes County’s District 3 supervisor, though he admits it might be a long shot.
