Three established and up-and-coming Rhode Island chefs earned spots on the 2023 James Beard Foundation Awards semifinalists list for Best Chef: Northeast.

Greenvale Vineyards, 582 Wapping Rd., Portsmouth. (401) 847-3777; greenvale.com, is now open daily with ample outdoor seating, picnicking areas and a wine garden. Their estate-grown wines are provided by the bottle, glass, or flight.
