In 2023, several developments in Allentown are slated to make major progress: and many of them are outside downtown.

The former Allentown Metal Works buildings on South 10th Street, totaling 160,000 square feet, will be leased Eastern Exterior Wall Systems Inc. by new owner Marcon Properties.

A Lehigh Valley construction company will take over the former Allentown Metal Works site, which has been vacant since 2011.
