Martin University President Sean Huddleston was one of six Newfields board of trustees members to step down in the weeks before and after the organization announced Burnette’s abrupt exit.

Another trustee has resigned from Newfields in Indianapolis, the sixth member to leave as the board bleeds members.

Six members of Newfields' board of trustees have resigned since CEO Colette Pierce Burnette's sudden departure in November.

Membership on the board of trustees, which decreased from 30 to 24, is currently at 26 after additions of Robert Scheele and Leon Jackson.

Dr. Sean Huddleston was elected to Newfields' Board of Trustees in June 2021 and accepted an appointment to the Newfields advisory committee.

Two more Board of Trustees members at Newfields have stepped down. The museum confirmed the departures on its governing board following a meeting this week.
