Jasper Mayor Anderson Land has issued a statement regarding the new Charles E. Gee Fire Training Facility:

Deputies recovered some heavy equipment that had been reported stolen out of Harris and McClendon Counties last week after the owner called and provided the location from a tracking device.

Twenty-six local volunteer firefighters have started a four month effort to become certified firefighters. According to Beech Grove Fire Chief Jamie Gunter, the firefighters are from the Jasper Fire Department,

The new firefighter training grounds east of Jasper has been named in honor of longtime Jasper firefighter Charlie Gee. The Charles E. Gee Memorial Training Facility recently opened and was
