The non-profit Creative Girls Rock has been organizing a back-to-school bash for the last four years to help families start the school year off strong.

It's almost time for a new school year. But before classes begin, a Nashville nonprofit is working to make sure students have all the supplies they need.

The organization provides free programming to girls and women around the world, including 17 U.S. states and five countries.

Strokes of paint — over the course of four days — can turn a plain wall into a mural that motivates the next generation of students.
