HURON, Ohio Farmer Lee Jones’ family has been farming in and around Huron, Ohio, for generations, owing to the land’s rich, sandy loam, a vestige from when it was lake bottom. Like their colleagues at the time, the family cultivated cash crops like beans, corn, and soy for sale to large wholesale buyers. But Mother Nature had a surprise in store for the Joneses, one that would upend their lives and completely reinvent their business model.

What the Fries food truck is going brick-and-mortar.
Chefs and co-owners Jamie Barnes and Gregory Williams announced will open a restaurant in early 2021. The food truck component of the What the Fries brand will take a brief hiatus when the restaurant opens. It will be located in South Charlotte at 10707 Park Road, Suite R, with an intended seating capacity of 100 people. The 3,420-square foot space previously was a Cici’s Pizza. They will offer physically-distanced dine-in, carryout and digital payment options.
