A Chattanooga police officer has been fired after an internal investigation found he had sex with another officer multiple times while both were on duty, according to department documents.

The report says Roger Heard Jr. was shot in the head, back, stomach, pelvis and left leg.

Hamilton County District Attorney Coty Wamp has released footage from an exchange of gunfire on Aug. 11 that left a Chattanooga police officer injured and killed 34-year-old Roger Heard Jr.

A Chattanooga-area group has planned to protest Tuesday evening after a man died from police gunshot. The NAACP has responded to the shooting as well. 

Police Chief Celeste Murphy says her department is fully cooperating with the TBI.

A man is in critical condition after being shot early Wednesday morning outside a Chattanooga Amazon facility, police said.
