After a moderate to hard freeze across Acadiana Sunday morning and a chilly Sunday afternoon, look for much milder and wetter conditions for the area into next week.

More weather "whiplash" is on tap for Acadiana with full winter temperatures this weekend, swinging to spring-like temperatures and multiple-day soaking rain threats expected for next week.

Another shot of (not as intense) arctic air is coming to Acadiana, and staying into the weekend, while next week is looking much milder and quite wet.

A HARD FREEZE can be expected once again tonight as most locations will drop into the teens. Highs Wednesday will push the mid-40s

Here will be slick spots on some of the roadways thru Tuesday morning, especially those bridges and overpasses, so take it easy if you HAVE to be out (I'd advise just staying in)

As temperatures quickly drop Monday evening/night, a thin band of precip. will work in to where areas farther south could get in on a little light freezing rain

The weekend will be nice and cool, so be sure to use it to get your pipes ready for the freeze next week. Temperatures Saturday and Sunday afternoons will be in the 50s for the most part

A touch milder for today as highs push the mid-60s. We're still dealing with an active subtropical jet stream, so expect dull sunshine mixed with high clouds

Well, the past two days have kind of summed up what we would expect for early February... Cold, dreary and at times rainy conditions

Behind Thursday morning's cold front a winter chill will return to Acadiana with temperatures dropping below normal for a couple of days.
