It is a magical evening that is coming to fruition. All that girls need is a gown to make their prom plans come to life.

Jill OMalley, a Town of Tonawanda Board member, and founder of the Ken-Ton Closet, which provides free clothing to families in need, recalls the wonderful memories of her high school prom. Years ago, when she heard about students at Kenmore West and East high schools who were not attending their prom because they could not afford a dress, she knew she had to do something about it.

The village of Kenmore wanted to eminent domain the Insty-Prints building and land on Elmwood Ave. to expand the police station. Those plans were dropped Tuesday.

Kenmore leaders have dropped their attempt to use eminent domain to expand its police station, saving a pair of local businesses.
