Chris Brummett of Lynch Station caught a five-bass limit weighing 27 pounds, 9 ounces, Saturday to win the MLF Phoenix Bass Fishing League on Smith Mountain Lake. The tournament was the first event of the season for the BFL Shenandoah Division. Brummett earned $7,701 for his victory.

After 241 days on the market, the 36.6-metre yacht Catching Moments was sold with a last asking price of $7,800,000. The deal was closed in Palm Beach, Florida, by Denison Yachting brokers Will Nofsinger and Chris Daves representing both the buyer and seller respectively.  Catching Moments was built in 2008 by Benetti with an exterior design by Stefano Righini Design.
