SHREVEPORT, La. - Centenary College announced Saturday their upcoming additions. The improvements are part of the schools Forward, The Campaign for our Third Century.

Centenary College of Louisiana is celebrating its first lifetime appointment to a Black faculty member in Andia Augustin-Billy.

The school's archivist says racism is why it took 196 years, “structural and institutional and systemic racism,” dating to when slave owners founded the school.
