Family members of a missing Tarrant County woman who still have not had closure are talking about the recent identification of a woman who vanished 17 years ago. Both women who disappeared, Taalibah Islam and Typhanie Johnson, were linked to the same man.

“This is not the outcome my family and I were hoping for,” Hadiyah Islam wrote after her sister Taalibah’s skeletal remains were identified “But it’s a sad and hard truth of what could happen when you put your trust into the wrong people.”

17 years after a Fort Worth woman went missing, police say her remains have been identified.

The remains of a woman missing in Texas since 2006 have been positively identified as Taalibah Fatin Bint Islam, four months after they were discovered in a Fort Worth neighborhood.

Taalibah Fatin Bint Islam was reported missing a few days after seeing her ex-boyfriend, Christopher Revill, who was sentenced to life in 2019 in the kidnapping of another ex-girlfriend.

Fort Worth police said remains found earlier this year have been identified as Taalibah Fatin Bint Islam, who was reported missing in 2006.
