Kilworth's 'Astro' officially opened
Kilworth Astro Pitch (K.A.P.) was officially opened by Mayor of County Cork, Cllr. Frank O'Flynn last Friday morning. Part of Scoil Mhairtin, Cill Uird (St. Martin's National School, Kilworth), pupils have 'first call' on the AstroTurf, however, after school, it's available to local organisations who can hire the facility - as a result, it's extensively used.
