A man has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of an Edmond police officer killed when a truck failed to stop along with other vehicles at a stoplight on the Broadway Extension on July 19.

C.J. Nelson died July 19 when his police motorcycle was struck by a truck one day shy of his 13th anniversary with the Edmond Police Department.
