The woman who drove a Land Rover into a British primary school, killing one girl and injuring several other children and adults was released on bail Friday.

Selena Lau, 8, died after a Land Rover crashed into The Study Preparatory School on Camp Road in Wimbledon on Thursday. Another girl, also 8, is in critical condition, as is a woman in her 40s.

Clair Kelland, the Met Police PC Commander for South West London, was visibly emotional as she made the announcement in front of the media.

A child and a woman were in critical condition Friday after a car crashed into the building of a primary school in southwest London, leaving an eight-year-old girl dead."A woman, in her 40s, also remains in hospital in a critical condition," the police added. 

Police are continuing to question a 46-year-old woman from Wimbledon who was driving the car, whose condition is not life-threatening.
