Motorists look like “drunk-drivers” as they swerve to avoid potholes up to 12 inches wide. Aspatria’s acting mayor, Alan Maxwell, said the condition of some roads - and especially Station Road - is a disgrace. “Councillor [Kevin] Foy damaged his car and then took photos of potholes,” he told a meeting of Aspatria town council. “Some are four inches deep and 12 inches wide.” Mr Maxwell said the damage gets worse every day and will rapidly result in the whole road needing to...
