Kalaburagi: A seven-year-old girl is battling for life after she fell into a huge vessel of boiling sambar, at the Chinamagera government school in Af.

Officials said the school was being run illegally, having obtained permission in Koramangala but was constructed in another part of the city. The Block Education Officer issued closure orders as it flouted rules.

7-year-old Shivam was taken to a hospital where he succumbed to internal injuries. Police have said that school administration is being questioned.
