Lillian kim is live now with the latest for us. Reporter this is one of the road closures set up in the clover dale area. Up that road is where firefighters are battling flames. It started on the 1300 block of big guyers road. So far, 500 acres have burned, 36 homes have been evacuated since flames broke out this morning. Its unclear how the fire started. Crews seem to be gaining the upper hand. They say they were aggressive with air attacks from the beginning. Th that seems to have slowed things down. Low humidity and high temperatures make conditions ripe for a fire, which has made for the people who live in this area. Because i had a dream last night that the house burned down. Here is a look at the scene earlier this evening. It happened about 8 30 at king street and alcatraz. Neighbors tell us the victims are a mother and son. Right about that time gunshots were fired and the victims were struck outside the house as well as an suv which appears to be caught in the cross fire at this time. Berkeley police have not made any arrests and they say the mother and the son, the man and the woman struck in this gunfire, are expected to surviv
