An Athens woman was arrested recently in Gwinnett County in connection with a series of recent shoplifting cases throughout the region.

A routine traffic stop in Athens took an unexpected turn when officers reportedly discovered several thousand dollars worth of stolen merchandise in the vehicle of Leta Davis, a 55-year-old Athens resident.

Police believe a woman found with thousands of dollars worth of stolen items, could be responsible for more thefts across metro Atlanta.
