The Project of the Quad Cities is expanding gender-affirming care thanks to a grant from the Illinois Department of Human Services and the Public Institute of Metropolitan Chicago. The grant is for the new Transgender and Gender Diverse Wellness and Equity Program.

People across the area spent their Christmas handing out meals and gifts to those in the community.

Clock Inc. in Rock Island will be open between 5 and 8 p.m. on Christmas Day to provide people with a safe place to celebrate the holidays. Registration is required.

Located in rural Coal Valley and surrounded by the open farmland, Arrowhead Youth and Family Services is a private, nonprofit treatment facility for at-risk boys between the ages of 12-21.
