Wicklow RNLI responded to more than 30 incidents during 2023 as both the all-weather and inshore lifeboats launched to come to the aid of those in difficulty at sea.

Councillors were updated on the status of the Codling Wind Park in a presentation held during December’s monthly meeting of Wicklow County Council, including details of the Community Benefit Fund.

Six Wicklow lifeboat volunteers were honoured with meritorious awards from RNLI Chief Executive, Mark Dowie, for their efforts in rescuing three stranded fishermen adrift in a vessel northeast of Wicklow Harbour earlier this year.
