A man accused of killing his uncle on Chef Menteur Highway last month was booked on a count of second-degree murder Wednesday, according to court records.

Three men who were killed in recent New Orleans shootings were identified by the Orleans Parish Coroners Office Tuesday.

Last year, Broome paid for her home to be built behind her daughters in Rock Springs, Georgia when she retired a year later, she is still without that home.

Rhonda Haskew claims she paid contractors $75,000 back in September to start construction on the home. Now, in June there is not much to show for it.
