New Year brought chilly winter monrings in various states across India, leading to extension in winter break in several schools of Patna, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and more. 

Delhi today witnessed a thick blanket of fog which started to descend over the city late at night and the minimum temperature also dropped to 5 degrees Celsius. 

All schools from class 1 to 8 will remain closed till January 4 in view of the severe cold wave in Uttar Pradeshs Varanasi.

Dense to very dense fog is very likely in some pockets in Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh in the next 2-3 days.

India Weather Latest Update: In the weather forecast, the IMD said dense fog is likely to prevail over Northwest India for the next 5 days.

Winter Vacation Latest News: Hathras District Magistrate Archana Verma issued the order keeping in view the cold wave in the district.

It is likely that the cold wave conditions will return to Delhi in a few days, as IMD has warned of a lower temperature next week.

Schools Closing News: Due to severe cold wave conditions in Patna, District Magistrate on Sunday said that schools will remain closed for students studying till classes 8 from January 02, 2023.
