Delhi weather report: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said. that cold conditions have abated in north India, including Delhi, for now under the influence of a western disturbance, characterised by warm moist winds from the Middle East, but the minimum will start dropping again from December 31.

According to the Meteorological department, the maximum daytime temperature in Churu on Monday was 18.8 degrees Celsius. The land of kings, as Churu is known, was blanketed by snow as the mercury slipped into minus. Locals were seen huddling around bonfires to keep the icy chill at bay.

Amid chilly weather conditions in many north Indian states, winter break has been announced by authorities to ensure the health of students.

The cold wave conditions in Delhi are set to continue for the next few days as per the most recent IMD weather predictions.
