We need to hold him to the rule of law. one of the problems here -- and all of the republicans i talked to know this -- that the president lies incessantly and part of the problem is the president has been lying about the russian investigation and what it means and the role of himself and his family in terms of their relationship with russians, ethnorussians and the rule of law. and if republicans cannot insist that they stop this kind of conduct, its no accident this is occurring at the moment ...

This is what george washington warned the country about in his farewell address, was foreign interference. and there was only one appropriate response. when these people were contacted by a hostile foreign power to give dirt to the -- to their campaign about the democratic nominee, and that was to call the director of the fbi, period, full stop. and to see kevin mccarthy up there being complicit in the lying, im troubled about it. stuttering around on this collusion issue is shameful. it is sham...

It didnt russian collusion. it isnt that. is that survivable for president trump? >> it depends because it depends on who goes down. if its -- if it becomes jared kushner and his son and some of the people that are more close because we already have 19 people indicted that could be problematic for the president. if he has to then start giving out pardons to his children i think that that becomes a political problem that this president will have that will be unlike what the president has faced in...

It interests me when you cant lie to the fbi. obviously a crime. you look at gates, papadopoulos, flynn, all lying. its waiting to see what the collusion issue will be and just amazes me how no matter how many lies the president himself tells, right, his poll numbers continue to stay the same and so i dont know, you know, as the masses does it not matter if you lie? we see the lying play out with regard to the special counsel investigation. i think the next shoe to drop is the nexus and the conn...

Collect mass in terms of resources and time theyve invested, budget they put into it that they are all over the place looking something essentially to justify their existence. rob: right, in this case, paul manafort who, you know, a lot of people on the left thought behind the grand collusion theory that they have, that he was communicating with the russians, trying the swing the election this way and they find bank fraud case from what, 13 years ago now and this judge, one judge who was actuall...

Because he doesnt stay on top of it. >> hes attacking mueller in the investigation every day, to no avail, by the way. in the abc poll a few weeks ago, 69% of americans said they had confidence of mueller looking into the collusion issue, 54% into the noncollusion business issue. thats hes attacking rosen, hes attacking the fbi. he knows that. >> we keep making this mistake and it gets back to my big theme in gas lighting america. we think donald trump needs to fight on facts because were used t...

Was trying to obstruct investigation into liz own campaign. those are perfectly important appropriate questions to be asked. they were also questions on the collusion issue. there were some questions on the business in russia. that intriguing question about paul manafort, are you aware of any effort by your campaign, including -- and hes the only one he singled out -- paul manafort to obtain russias assistance? that could mean a few thing, it can be to seek out the stolen e-mails from wikileaks,...

Counsel but special counsel needs to insist. >> congressman, im not assuming this is the entire list of questions and exact questions that are going to be asked but those are inquiries youd like to be touched on? >> yes. it certainly -- the list that was put together looks like a very reasonable ask of the special counsel. those are all areas where, particularly, you know they shed light on the presidents intent behind the firing of james comey, the degree which they might have floated pardons o...

Read it in detail. i read about it. i understand the conclusions that they made, but i dont want to assert something that i havent done. this has been a long time coming. they broke down into partisan bickering on this months and months ago. my impression is by saying the russians didnt have a preference in this election, didnt want to defeat hillary clinton or elect donald trump, that doesnt square with the evidence. i spent a lot of time on this and read the classified version of the report of...

To the president than the special counsels investigation? >> it very well could be, especially if theres a certain amount of evidence which one would think you would have to have in order to do the fbi search they do. now im not an attorney, but it is clear that this is gearing up much faster and without the presidents knowledge than the collusion issue. michael cohen will be back in court monday. thats significant in itself. plus you have stormy daniels and her lawyer out there seeking more inf...
