India Business News: The State Bank of India (SBI) has recently announced revisions to the annual maintenance charges for certain debit cards, set to take effect from April 1, 2024. As per an ET report, these changes aim to streamline the fee structure and ensure continued service quality for cardholders. Below are the key highlights of the revised charges:

The maintenance charges will be revised for Classic, Silver, Global, Platinum and Contactless debit cards.

The customers must note that the charges for Yuva, Gold, and Combo Debit cards will also be raised. Annual maintenance fee for the Platinum Debit Card will be increased as well from April 1.

SBI has said that it will also levy GST as applicable at 18 percent on the Debit Cards Annual Maintainance Charges.

The SBI Card has increased the annual maintenance fee for Classic, Silver, Global, Contactless Debit Cards to Rs 200 + GST from the existing Rs 125 + GST.
