KUALA LUMPUR: A foreign man and a local woman were arrested for using fake interstate travel permit documents.
Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Anuar Omar said the first case was detected at around 7.50am on Monday (May 10) at the KL Sentral KTM arrival hall. Police checked a foreigner who claimed to have returned from Langkawi. When they checked his interstate travel document, the serial number was found to be false, he said.
The letter also stated that the permit holder must be back in Nilai, Negri Sembilan, on May 8, he added.
ACP Anuar said further checks revealed that the 26-year-old man had boarded the train from Sungkai, Perak, at about 6am and arrived at KL Sentral at 7.46am.
