US Capitol police chief says far-right militias planning to bomb Capitol
In the third congressional hearing held this week on the January 6 attack on the US Capitol, acting US Capitol Police Chief Yogananda Pittman and Acting House Sergeant at Arms Timothy Blodgett testified before a House Appropriations subcommittee.
The hearing, chaired by Ohio Democrat Tim Ryan, was the latest to interrogate the leadership of the various police agencies about their failure to maintain the security of the Capitol. kirsten about a private conservative group in hollywood says they re being targeted by the irs. democratic senator chuck schumer says he wants the irs to step up and do more investigation into the tea party groups and others. and you know, for a lot of folks out there risk looking like the irs is a political tool of this administration. do you think that s a legitimate criticism and would it be worthwhile for the president who was so outraged by his own speech that he gave in march of last year about the irs targeting, key benefit by saying yeah, i m taking action and we re going to move forward? well, if he was actually taking action, doing something specific. but i m not sure that anything is really happening on that front that would rise to the level of mentioning in a state of the union address. you know, i think what chuck schumer did really was sort of outside the bounds of what a member of the senate should be doing, especially in light the fact that the irs has been caught. y
