A victim was identified in the incident, but there were no reports of injuries.
On Monday, police said that the shooter had been identified as 21-year-old Donavon Foster, and charges for three counts of Assault with Intent to Commit Murder were authorized against him.
Police said Foster was arrested on Thursday, July 22, with the assistance of the Michigan State Police and the Sturgis Police Department.

The incident took place on September 24, 2014 when a Pemberton Police Officer parked on Lemmon Avenue watched as a bullet fired in his direction, and six-inches above his head struck the roof of his marked patrol vehicle.
An investigation identified Tayron Brown of Trenton and Kavon Carter of Pemberton as the suspects, both of whom were charged in September of 2019.
An indictment was delayed due to the pandemic.
Tayron Brown, 24, of Trenton, has been indicted on charges of Attempted Murder (First Degree), Conspiracy to Commit Murder (First Degree), Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose (Second Degree), Unlawful Possession of a Weapon (Second Degree) and Aggravated Assault (Third Degree).

Tony Covington, State’s Attorney for Charles County, announced that on Friday, July 23, 2021, Charles County Circuit Court Judge William R. Greer, Jr. sentenced Daniel Jonathan Felts, 38, to two life sentences in prison for Second Degree Rape, Possession of Child Pornography, and two counts of Solicitation to Commit Murder.
On April 21, 2021, Felts entered a guilty plea to the aforementioned charges.
On September 4, 2019, the juvenile victim and her mother contacted officers from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) to report multiple sexual assaults that occurred on Blair Road in Indian Head. The victim reported that between 2016-2019, Felts touched her underneath her clothing and forced her to have sex with him on various occasions. The victim also reported that Felts purchased a sex toy for her use.
