Newly adopted federal guidelines for reflectivity on the signs because you want to be able to see them in the dark. Its Unfunded Mandate that every municipality in the country is grappling with and they do recognize that and they have a clause in the recommendation that you implement as over time, but even though there is a stated compliance date, its prioritized by local agencies based on need and funding availability. I dont believe well be losing any funding over this, but we are very cognizant of the deadlines and taking it very seriously. One of the things we are doing is taking our data base of all the signs and converting it into a system where it becomes inventory control. Well know exactly where all the 200,000 signs of all the cities and the age of them when they were installed. One of their methods that their federal government allows us to use is to either go out to the field with a device and measure the reflectivity of each sign which is labor intensive and not practical
Neighborhood. We have other ideas that we would like to add to this that are not part of them now, and one is to use the entire cni neighborhood, but that hasnt been act senned kwraoet. Accepted yet, but im not giving up. Those are not things we can put into this particular at this particular time, but i think its something it should be explored and addressed and we are going to do as aggressive outreach as we can, but as you know the numbers of African Americans when you open Senior Housing, they just dont meet it in the lottery and if youre trying to prioritize is neighborhood it makes it very difficult. Ive tried every angle i can and do everything i can to try to get people in. The other thing ill say about preference holders is theyre older and dying off early. At armstrong Senior Housing we got 25 preference holders. Out of the African Americans there, ten of them are already gone because theyre frail. Theyve been on the streets and had a tough life so replacing them has been an

Lease and with the soon to be completed renovation project and the restoration project, the Department Anticipates receiving an average of 1. 3 million per year over the fiveyear term of this lease. Thats an increase of 5 63,000 per year, over 2. 2 mill over the fiveyear term,v with that, if there are any question the supervisors have . Supervisor avalos . The hearing we have coming up soon is [speaker not understood] is meeting rlb requirements, business local enterprise will be doing the concessionses in elevator for coit tower, is that correct, for the museum store in the elevator . My understanding of lb requirements those extend predominantly to contracts, not to leases. They are required to meet all of our requirements around nondiscrimination and the like for hiring. But as a lessee, those subcontracting goals do not apply under my understanding to leases. But the question is better directed toward the Contract Monitoring Division. Okay. We begin with a developing story out of afghanistan, where the taliban is attacking an american base along the pakistan border. We are told the fighting is going on at this moment. This is the same base that was attacked by the taliban in september. Joining us now is douglas oliver, a Senior Security fellow at the north american foundation. He served as an army officer in afghanistan. I believe you have been to the base. Tell us about it. The base that we are talking about is an american farm, 500m back from the afghan, pakistani border. The pakistanis call it the khyber pass, an historic base. There has been other attacks on the base. Is it vulnerable . I dont think so. Its been attacked twice in the past three or four years. Not vulnerable, just in an interesting place sure to make news and more importantly disrupting commerce between pakistan and afghanistan. We saw a u. S. Black hawk helicopter go down. Six americans were killed, sadly. I believe we were told this is not too far fr
