Starting Oct. 1, Alberta’s natural gas rebate program will provide price protection from spikes in natural gas costs for millions of Albertans this winter. 

Though thousands of Albertans have received a $50 rebate on their most recent electricity bill, not all have.

About 1.9 million homes, farms and small businesses can expect a $50 credit on each of their electricity bills for July through December, to a total of $300. But the exact timing of the credit depends on a customer's specific billing cycle.

Nearly two million homes, farms and businesses will receive electricity rebates for the rest of the year to help cover high bills amid rising energy costs.
