Uber's annual report provides a fascinating insight into the most commonly forgotten items in Uber cabs or autos, the most absentminded cities, and the peak times when Uber riders tend to misplace their belongings.

The most common items that get left behind in cabs are phones, laptop bags and wallets. Most items were forgotten in cabs on Saturday, Sunday and Friday.

Uber released the 2023 edition of its Lost and Found Index, a snapshot of the most frequently forgotten items, the most forgetful cities, as well as the days of the week and times of the year when Uber riders tend to be most forgetful. 

In the Uber’s annual Lost and Found Index, Delhi cab users pipped those in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore to forget items after a cab ride.
