I also want to comment the u. S. Department of transportation for acting quickly to release funds, emergency funds and provide assistance. Were here to examine the implementation of the fast act with our state and local partners. The fast act is a first long term surface transportation reauthorization bill in a decade and important for the 21st century. As a fiveyear bill provides very much needed certainty and funneledi funding to our partners. Fact that fast act is a forward looking law that p...

Oklahoma department of transportation and the president of the dallas area Rapid Transit system. The hearing is about two hours. We will call the subcommittee to order. I like to say good morning and welcome all of our witnesses here today to the hearing. By now weve seen the reports in the resulting collapse of section i85 northeast of atlanta. This is a critically important piece of our system which carries over 400,000 cars a day. With that volume of traffic, its amazing there wasnt any loss ...

We look forward to building a infrastructure with our state and local partners and their oing to welcome today. I am grateful for this subcommittee hearing. I think it indicates that our subcommittee wants to get behind all of the interest that weve heard on infrastructure and see what we can really do. We know that a large infrastr...

Has made a number of public comments. We held a hearing, many members, republican and democrat, were present on the question of fragile states. He is, i think, appropriately highlighting that the cost of restabilizing countries like libya, syria, iraq and continuing to hold together countries like nigeria and pakistan is going to be substantial. And we need to engage in a bipartisan and thoughtful way in advancing why it is in americas interests to prevent the collapse of even more larger and po...

Were physical act of tackling. It cant be done. Tackling is tackling. The seahawks tackling defined it exactly as it is done. It should be done at the three levels of football where the game should be played. If boys cant tackle the way the technique was designed, they shouldnt be playing contact football. They should be playing flag until they are ready to play. Thank you, gentlemen. Congratulations to the classic 2016. Today is your day of celebration. Your choices will make all the difference...

Been put forward by School Administrators and teachers and in some cases, even parents who are seeking Practical Solutions to this challenge. The challenge here is not to isolate anybody, it is not to disseminate against anybody, it is not to make anybody unsafe, it is to ensure that our schools are as inclusive and respectful and safe as they can possibly be. That is why the guidance we put forward includes tangible, specific suggestions for how that can be achieved. Let me give you one example...
