Minister for urban development and town planning Byrathi Suresh expressed displeasure over the expenditure of Rs 70 crore on a 2.1km promenade project in Mangaluru. The project is part of the waterfront area development project of Mangaluru Smart City Limited. The minister will review the proposal to ensure the money is not wasted. Other development works could benefit if the estimate can be reduced.
