Mount Vernon City Council to sell YMCA building for $1.5 million
The YMCA was closed for about four years when the city bought the building for $700,000 in 2012. Another $750,000 was borrowed for renovations but other than a new basketball court — which has since sustained water damage — the project was never completed.
