Ryker Frost, 10, died as a result of injuries suffered during a collision involving his family's minivan and a military police vehicle that was responding to a report of a gate crasher.

An unnamed man identified as a Chinese national forced his way through a gate at Marine Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, the service’s largest live-fire combat training base, last week before being detained by military police.

The suspect briefly made it past gate guards, but was immediately apprehended by military police, Marine spokesperson Maj. Joshua Pena told Military.com.
