Niagara County on Wednesday announced the launch of the Connect Niagara bus service, which replaces the former Niagara Rural Transportation service. Connect Niagara offers new routes and better connectivity, including free transfers to connecting routes and NFTA Metro buses. The new routes go into effect Monday, March 4.

A one-day, one-stop event in Niagara Falls next week will bring more than 40 agencies and health providers together to help area residents who are in need of services.

Niagara County is changing their four rural bus routes so it's easier to travel around the county. They're also changing the name from Niagara County Rural Transportation to Connect Niagara.

Niagara County leaders are working with the NFTA to reroute the county's rural transportation bus service, which will be renamed "Connect Niagara."
