- Free Summer Meals Programs For Kids Kick Off

This has been a fantastic school year, with many things to celebrate and many efforts to look forward to as we look ahead. Before we head into the summer weeks, I wanted to highlight a few of the key items from 2023-2024.

An assembly held Tuesday in the Mountain View auditorium was intended to raise further money and reward students with activities for their fundraiser, which lasted an entire week. 

Joseph Major, 27, appeared before Judge Stephen Schapanski Wednesday morning where he pleaded guilty to one count of sexual exploitation of a child and an additional count of child abuse.

Joseph Major, 27, appeared before Chief Judge Susan Blanco Wednesday morning for a hearing during which his attorney, Christen Nickel, requested that his bond be lowered to a substantially smaller cash or surety bond or a personal recognizance or co-sign personal recognizance bond; he is currently in custody at the Larimer County Jail in Fort Collins on a $100,000 cash or surety bond.

By 2021, enrollment at Conrad Ball Middle School, Monroe Elementary School and Mary Blair Elementary School’s had become among the lowest in the district.

The beginning of the district’s winter break typically serves as a halfway point for us for the school year. Midyear activities have now concluded and students have wrapped up their exams, ready to begin the new semester when they return in January. For our staff, it’s also a good time for us to reflect on what we’ve accomplished during the first half of the school year and to look forward a bit to the exciting things that are in the works for the new year.

The Thompson Education Foundation has awarded nine Great Idea Grants to educators in the Thompson School District.

A paraprofessional who had worked in Thompson School District since 2015 was arrested and accused of possessing child sexual abuse images.
