This has been a fantastic school year, with many things to celebrate and many efforts to look forward to as we look ahead. Before we head into the summer weeks, I wanted to highlight a few of the key items from 2023-2024.

Jo-Jo Beets, graduating high school senior from Ferguson High School, wanted the cap-and-gown-adorned group seated on stage to do one thing as they took the step from high school student to high school graduate: "kick butt for the rest of your lives."

The heart of February is the perfect time to illuminate the warmth and spirit of community that blooms in our school district. This month's letter is dedicated to the invaluable gift of family, school and community partnerships in TSD, where the authentic friendships between our schools and families have grown stronger than ever.

Loveland City Council and the Thompson School District shared a joint meeting at Namaqua Elementary School Wednesday night to hear updates from staff from both the city and the school district on joint efforts and working groups between the two organizations.

Unified basketball involves individuals with special needs and their peers playing on the same team, complete with a full crowd, pep band, announcer and cheerleaders. 

Welcome to 2024! In Thompson School District, the winter break serves as a midway point for our school year and is a great time for us to reflect on our annual accomplishments, while also making additional plans for the months to come. It has been a busy year since our last technology update as we continually improve digital teaching and learning in the district. I am pleased to share the following update with you.

Their high school journeys may have had a bumpy beginning, but, for the graduating seniors from Thompson Valley high school, it all evened out at the end.

The beginning of the district’s winter break typically serves as a halfway point for us for the school year. Midyear activities have now concluded and students have wrapped up their exams, ready to begin the new semester when they return in January. For our staff, it’s also a good time for us to reflect on what we’ve accomplished during the first half of the school year and to look forward a bit to the exciting things that are in the works for the new year.
