UAE to stage gripping finale as Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen fight it out for title

Where Max Verstappen changed his complete engine for a new one in Russia, Lewis Hamilton only changed the ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) in Turkey. That did earn him a grid penalty of ten spots, but with a completely new engine he doesn't drive, unlike Red Bull Racing's Dutchman. Why didn't Mercedes replace the entire engine of the title contender, just like Red Bull did?

James Allison has explained Lewis Hamilton only took on a new ICE in Turkey because that was the one part Mercedes were worried about.

During last week’s Russian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen pulled off an impressive feat that puts him in an exclusive club. On the current grid, just one other driver started from 20th on the grid and finished second. 

At the end of the Russian Grand Prix Red Bull Racing is in good shape. The gap to Mercedes is small in the championship and Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen have both already used their new engines. Lewis Hamilton has yet to do so, but where can the Briton do so to minimise the damage?

Max Verstappen has a grid penalty hanging over his head if he changes engines. The question halfway through the season is not if he will get that grid penalty, but when. With the incident in Hungary behind him, it could well be that Verstappen has no choice but to introduce a new engine in Belgium.
