This is the third year the Eastern Shore of Virginia's Chamber of Commerce have held Chamber Fest, but the first time it's being held in Cape Charles.

The following arrests were made recently by local police departments. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

A man who threatened a security guard with a hatchet during a robbery of a store at Pine Centre Mall was sentenced Wednesday to a further 36 days in jail. Kevin Corey Roy, 29, was issued the term on a count of uttering threats from the Feb. 2 incident. He was also sentenced to a concurrent term of six days in jail for possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose and to one year probation on the counts as well as a count of theft $5,000 or under. article continues below
