Cornerstone Learning Community News Today

With tenacity and grit, some Tallahassee businesses and nonprofits celebrated milestone anniversaries this year and they hope to celebrate many more.

Hundreds gathered at Florida State's Wescott Fountain and marched to protest a bill that they say will harm LGBTQ+ youth.

Cornerstone Learning Community is celebrating 22 years in business. The original celebration was supposed to happen in 2020 but the pandemic put a pause on that and today they're using the palindrome as a way to look forward.

Some businesses are struggling to find employees and those employees are demanding better working conditions. The clash is especially obvious in college towns where businesses rely on student labor. Business owners and local politicians expected a meaningful boost to the economy after students returned to campus this fall. But some industries that were popular with students before the pandemic, have fallen out of favor.
