Douglas County, MO. - On April 22, 2022 Michael Mitchell, age 62, of Checotah, OK was arrested by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office as he was being released from the Cox Hospital. This was due to a previous action by Mitchell on April 12 of 2022. During the incident, Lt. T. Wallace and Corporal J. Nelson were dispatched to a residence in eastern Douglas County where Mitchell had been found to have molested a minor, and was injured in a fight that ensued afterward. An investigation was con...
