Altering Judgments v Clerical Mistakes in Litigation
Under Federal Rule 59e, a motion to alter or amend a judgment must be filed no later than 28 days after the entry of the judgment. Rule 60a states the court may correct a clerical mistake or a mistake arising from oversight or omission whenever one is found in a judgment.
