M8 motorway closed northbound between J14 Fermoy and J13 Mitchelstown A car and a truck collided close to the Moorepark exit at around 7:30am. Its believed there are no serious injuries however the truck has shed its load. Emergency services are at the scene and are turning cars stuck behind the incident around. Motorway service crews are also working to clear the road of debris. Share

Ahead of the weekend, Gardaí have once again called on the public not to flout the COVID-19 restrictions, in order to help stem the spread of the virus.
