Gilroy city council voted 4-3 this week to move forward with a ballot measure that would add a quarter-cent sales tax in order to fund flagging public safety in the city.
In a split vote, Gilroy City Council moved last night to consider a ceasefire resolution in regards to the war in Gaza. The move followed the testimony of several Palestinian residents, who said that they faced prejudice for their identities and that a resolution would show the city's support for them and those in Gaza.
